Education

Macey is a board-certified Nurse Practioner. She has the professional degrees and experience for independent and interdependent decision making in clinical judgment. Macey has completed additional training, above and beyond basic surging, to allow her to provide primary healthcare services.

Macey graduated from Kaskaskia College with an Associate Degree of Arts in 2010. She then achieved her Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from Barnes School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO. Macey further advanced her knowledge, experience, and skills with a Masters of Science in Nursing at Walden University.

  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)

Macey assists in procedures, obtains vital signs, monitors our patients post-procedure, and performs wound and dressing changes. Macy brings a warm character, and a deep dedication to advanced nursing, and genuine compassion and care to our patients at Advanced Surgical Technology.

Ventilator management, management of titrating various medication drips, assisting physicians with insertion of central and arterial lines, physical assessments of high acuity patients, vital sign recording, patient care documentation on computer charting system, care for chest tubes, arterial and central lines, Blake and Jackson-Pratt drains, telemetry monitoring, hospice, and post-mortem care.


ICU-RN, Heartland Regional Medical Center- 2013 - August 2015
