Scherrie Medina, APRN-CNP

In 2014, she began working on the heart team in her previous role as a scrub, circulator, and first assist where she became passionate about vascular and endovascular health and interventions. In 2016, she began her educational journey to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and graduating with Presidential Honors in September 2018. She graduated from Chamberlain University with her master’s degree in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. After graduation she began her working in vascular surgery alongside Dr. Mohammed Al-Zoubaidi, performing vascular and endovascular interventions. She joined the AST team in April of 2023 and continues to compliment Dr. Al-Zoubaidi’s abilities, providing exceptional surgical care in Southern Illinois.
